Futures week

If anyone is interested in working in the media, film or creative industries or studying the subjects at University then the activities which we have lined up for Futures week in May will interest you. If you would like to attend any of the activities below then please use the link to sign up,

Monday 13th May – 13.30-15.30 (SP108 & 9)

Guest Speaker – Lucy Stevens Channel 4.

Lucy (who is an ex KE student) will be doing a talk about her progression into the industry and also the job which she does at Channel 4. She will be able to give you information about the large apprenticeship programme which 4 run and also have time for questions.

Tuesday 14th May – 11-16.00 – Lecture Theatre

University of Worcester Taster day.

Course leader Katy Wareham Morris and lecturer Holly Barnes Bennett will be coming it to do some taster sessions on the film and media course. Their sessions will be on Ghost Town the music video and This is England the film, so they are great for revision also. They will also be giving advice on the application process to Worcester university and also how to write a personal statement.

Thursday 16th May – 10.00-12.00 (SP108 and 9)

Guest Speaker – Jade Graham – Nascent media

Jade is a self made media entrepreneur who has created her own business in media making. She is an extremely inspirational speaker who will be able to give excellent advice about creating your own business and being a successful entrepreneur.

Thursday 16th May – 13.30-15.30 (SP108 and 9)

Guest Speaker – Nathan Wilkes – Blue Zoo Animation who make numberblocks and Alphablocks

Nathan worked for Disney and Pixar, he is an ex KEC student and he will be talking about his career in creative industries. He will also be taking questions and giving

valuable advice to those of you who would like a career in film, media or animation. There will be time for questions.
